Deputy: Woman's burned remains found inside metal barrel in Chester Co.

- Detectives found the burnt remains of a woman inside a metal barrel on Thursday, according to Chester and York County Sheriff's Office.

This is the sixth homicide of 2015 in York County, according to the York County Sheriff's Office. 

Detectives were notified of suspicious activity at a home on Azurine Circle in Fort Mill, SC Wednesday.

After investigating they discovered the murder took place inside the home, according to detectives.

John Coddington who lived at Azurine Circle was taken into custody and charged with murder.

It is believed Coddington took the woman from Fort Mill to Rippling Brooke Road in Chester County, SC where investigators found the remains of her body.
