Teen Faces new charges after Bomb Threat

A teenager who was accused last week of claiming he had a bomb at school is now facing new charges following a sheriff's office investigation. Paul Warner, 16, now faces two counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor, in addition to charges for making a report of a false bomb and possession of weapons on school grounds.

The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office said last week Warner stood up in class at Northwest Cabarrus High School and said he had a bomb. The Sheriff's Office was also investigating a claim that Warner also mentioned something in reference to ISIS.

The student did not have a bomb but the school resource officer found a knife when they searched him.

Warner is in the Cabarrus County Jail with a $200,000 secured bond.
