8-year-old girl found safe; Amber Alert cancelled

- UPDATE: 8/20/17 9 p.m. An Amber Alert was cancelled Sunday night  for an 8-year-old girl in a child abduction case after she was found safe in Kentucky, authorities said.

Trinity Lakin McGraw was the subject of the Amber Alert, which was issued out of Stokes County. It was sent out Sunday afternoon.

The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office said her abductor, Trinity McGraw, was located safe in Louisville, Kentucky and that McGraw is in custody.


An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 8-year-old girl out of North Carolina.

The Stokes County Sheriff's office is actively searching for Trinity Lakin McGraw, 8, who was last seen in Westfield.

Trinity is described as a white female, about 4'0" tall, weighing 53 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen in a long nightgown with a watermellow design. 

Authorities said Trinity is believed to be with Patrick Ryan McGraw. He is described as a 37-year-old white male, 6'0" tall, weighing 220 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. McGraw was last seen wearing a white t-shirt. He has a cross tattoo on his left calf and a clock tattoo on his right shoulder. 

The pair is believed to be traveling in a gray 2016 Ford Focus with Georgia license plate RDG-2198. It’s possible they are headed to Kentucky.
