(FOX 46 WJZY) - An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed in a shooting early Sunday morning, police said.
The coroner identified the young girl as Kamryn Montara Lamya Bradley. Her family said she's from Boiling Springs, right outside of Shelby.
The Cherokee County Coroner said the shooting happened just after 1 a.m. Sunday, August 20 at an apartment complex in Gaffney.
Her sister told FOX 46 Charlotte Kamryn was visiting a cousin in Gaffney, S.C., when the shooting happened. She said there was an argument in the parking lot between gang members. Someone in the parking lot fired shots. A stray bullet hit Kamryn while she was sitting on a couch in the apartment.
Kamryn was going into the 3rd grade at Boiling Springs Elementary School.
No arrests have been made.
