2 arrested after armed robbery, police pursuit in Charlotte

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have arrested two men in connection to an armed robbery and early morning police pursuit. 

The incident happened at approximately 2:07 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4 at 201 E Bland Street. 

Officers have charged Anthony Boyd and Dominic Boyd for their involvement.

Police say they were met by the victim who said he was robbed by the two men who displayed a firearm. During the robbery the two suspects stole the victim's car, which contained his cell phone and wallet.

Officers located the victim's vehicle and pursued it into Little Rock Apartments. The suspects attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended. Two firearms were recovered at the scene. 

A small amount of narcotics were located on one of the suspects, police say. 

Both men have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy robbery with dangerous weapon, possession of firearm by felon, resisting public officer, felony possession, flee/eluding arrest with motor vehicle, possession of stolen firearm, larceny of motor vehicle, and injury to personal property.

This case remains under investigation.
