Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer pays for woman's stolen groceries

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer took it upon himself to help pay for a 70-year-old woman's groceries after they were stolen from her.

Officer Armlin responded to a call at the Walmart on Independence Boulevard in reference to stolen groceries.

The woman was walking with her groceries to her car when someone approached her and took them.

The woman had spent her last $40, according to the officer.

Officer Armlin went to the bank and took out $40 of his own money to give to the woman so she could buy more groceries.

Thank you for your service Officer Armlin!
