Arrest made in fire department car break-ins

A man arrested at Northlake Mall with stolen property in his car has now been tied to the Flint Hill Fire Department break-ins that happened Monday.

Police arrested Johnny Bing, 26, and charged him with two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of possession of stolen property, felony receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police believe Bing acted alone. The investigation is still open.

Detectives managed to recover some stolen items.
