CMPD asks for public's help in 2011 cold case

- Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have worked with Anthropology professors with Davidson College and the Davidson Police Department to create a forensic reconstruction of the possible victim in a 2011 cold case. 

As part of their efforts, detectives said they're continuing to request the public’s help in identifying the unknown woman who was found dead on March 17, 2011, in the 10100 block of Statesville Avenue. 

Police said the picture shown above is a forensic reconstruction of the possible victim. 

Detectives have also provided photos of the shoes and shirt that 'Jane Doe' was wearing.  They said the deceased female is possibly white or Hispanic and between the ages of 20-30 years old.

This is an ongoing, active investigation. 

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call (704) 432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective. Detective Fitch is the lead detective assigned to the case.
