ALBEMARLE, NC - An Albemarle man is in jail after detectives said they found numerous illegal substances inside his residence while executing a search warrant.
The Albemarle Police Department, along with members of North Carolina Probation/Parole and the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on South Third Street in Albemarle on Wednesday, March 2 at 6:15 pm.
Once inside, more than 400 grams of marijuana was seized along with paraphernalia used to sell and consume illegal substances.
Police arrested Darold Douglas Turner of Albemarle and charged him with six different crimes.
Turner is charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Felony Possession of SCH VI Controlled Substance, Felony Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Simple Possession of SCH IV Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and Misdemeanor Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance.
Police said Turner received a $50,000 secured bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. March 14.
