CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced that all their high schools will be dismissing later at 1 p.m. Friday, January 18 due to technical issues with their testing software.
Students across CMS have been taking their finals this week, school officials said.
"CMS Transportation has arranged for pick-up time adjustments from CMS high schools as necessary. These delays were caused by technical issues across North Carolina with testing software. Some high schools experienced a delay in exam testing start times this morning."
Students were supposed to get out of school around 12 p.m. Friday. The glitch pushed everything back about an hour. CMS said the issue was resolved quickly by the North Carolina Department of Instruction (NCDPI).
"CMS appreciates the understanding of all CMS students, families and staff to allow time for all students to do their best on exams today."
