Charlotte, NC (FOX 46) - As the Queen City sees declining temperatures, it's important to keep our pets in mind.
The Humane Society of Charlotte has around 75 cats and dogs in-house as they have several ways to combat the colder temperatures.
They have suggested some tips you can practice to keep you pets, especially your dogs, as warm and safe as possible in these winter months.
-Wipe of their paws after taking them for a walk.
-Not bathing them as much so you don't strip them of their natural oils.
-Putting a sweater over them.
-Being aware of the antifreeze lying around in the garage.
