At least four automakers are still selling vehicles with potentially deadly Takata airbags.
Some of the 2016 and 2017 Fiat, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Volkswagen vehicles are equipped with defective airbag inflators.
The inflators can explode with excessive force - spraying shrapnel into the car which some describe as a loaded shotgun in the steering wheel.
Worldwide - at least 11 people have been killed by Takata's inflators.
Millions of vehicles have already been called. Ford announced more recalls Wednesday, bringing their number impacted in North America to 1.9 million.
