Missing south Charlotte teen found dead in Montgomery County

- UPDATE: Nathan Kocmond, a south Charlotte teen who has been missing since Monday evening, was found dead in Montgomery County, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Reports say Kocmond was discovered by a hiker in the Uwharrie National Forest just before 4:00 p.m. in an apparent suicide.

A south Charlotte teen is still missing, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have been looking for him for four days now. 

Nathan Kocmond, 16, has been missing since Monday evening when he left his house in a 2011 metallic brown Honda CR-V with the license plate PAH-3753.

Nathan's parents say the day he went missing he had missed a scheduled meeting that evening and his cell phone had been turned off.

Nathan was last seen at his home at 7345 Kennington Court wearing a green Led Zeppelin shirt and black/red Adidas shorts with white stripes.

He is described as a white male, 5'11", with brown hair and blue eyes. Officials released a new poster for Nathan on Friday.
