Black Lives Matter protest takes to Uptown

Hundreds of "peaceful" protestors took to the streets of Uptown Charlotte as part of the "Black Lives Matter" movement on Thursday.

The march, organized through social media, started outside Time Warner Cable Arena at 5 p.m. Protestors marched throughout Uptown for several hours in response to social media videos that surfaced dealing with police officers shooting and killing to men.

While these shootings happened in Louisiana and Minnesota -- it's made national news and people in Charlotte protesting said it still hits home.

This protest happened on the same day as another protest in Dallas, TX ended in gunfire and dead police officers.

There were no reported acts of violence at the Charlotte protest.
