IREDELL COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - The Iredell County Sheriff's Office says the body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from Lake Norman Tuesday following a search.
Firest responders were dispatched around 5:00 p.m. after reports came in that a male wearing all black had possibly drowned near 640 Williamson Rd. in Mooresville.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area near the bridge if possible.

The caller told emergency communications that they had seen the man in the water having some difficulties. The Sheriff's Office deployed its drone and lake patrol boats to search the area, and a fire boat also arrived to search the water.
An unattended vehicle was found in the area, and the Sheriff's Office is working to find the registered owner and any family members.
The Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing. No foul play is suspected.
