CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report lists Carolina Panthers' quarterback, Cam Newton, as a victim in an apparent stalking case.
The woman showed up at Panthers practice on Wednesday around 11 a.m. and asked to speak to Cam. She was then asked to leave and not return, according to the police report.
Newton says the victim had shown up at the stadium previously and had been asked not to return. The suspect was told not to contact Newton in the future.
On Thursday at the Panthers' press conference, Fox 46 Charlotte asked head coach Ron Rivera if he could talk about the incident.
"No, I know there was something there. That’s about it. I have no knowledge of that," Rivera said.
