CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - A fire that caused heavy damage to a home in northeast Charlotte Monday morning was intentionally set, fire officials said.
According to Charlotte Fire Department, the fire started about 6:49 a.m. in the 4700 block of Thornwood Road.

The fire was under control in 20 minutes, crews said. No one was injured.

Crews said on person is in custody for setting the fire.
The damage to the home is estimated to be about $60,000, according to firefighters.
