Charges dropped against Gastonia woman accused in murder-for-hire plot

- Charges have been dismissed against a Gastonia woman accused of trying to hire someone to kill her husband, officials say.

Jessica Philbeck, 31, was released Monday evening from the Gaston County Jail, according to records. Philbeck was arrested in July after a man told police that she wanted to hire him to kill her husband, Thomas Pasour.

Philbeck was charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder following an investigation by the Gastonia Police Department. The charges have since been dismissed.
