CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A new Charlotte Hornets player got a very special gift welcoming him to the Queen City, and it was given to him by none other than Ronald McDonald himself.
On Monday, Hornets center Dwight Howard paid a local McDonald's a visit as a part of was given a 'Big Mac' cape at the team's Tipoff Tour.
While at the restaurant, he received a big gift...a 'Big Mac' cape.
Video posted to Twitter shows the NBA star hold out his shiny blue, burger-covered cape, with the iconic golden arches featured prominently in the middle.
The restaurant's Twitter account says they gave Howard the present to welcome him to the city and wish him the best of luck in the upcoming season.
The Hornets will play their first regular season game in Detroit on Wednesday against the Pistons.
