Charlotte house fire intentionally set

- The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force announced Thursday that a local house fire was intentionally set.

The home was located at 515 Voluntered Court. Upon arrival, firefighters were faced with heavy fire venting from the roof of a vacant two-story house.

Due to the severity of the blaze, fire officials said crews were forced to combat the flames from outside.

It took 23 firefighters to bring the fire under control in nearly 30 minutes. No one was hurt.

Two other homes sustained minor damage due radiant heat from the fire.

Estimated property loss is approximately $75,000.

This incident remains an active investigation by The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force.
