CHARLOTTE, NC (WJZY) - There was a steady stream of people Monday at Charlotte's Red Cross to take action, and do their part to help Orlando victims.
They're getting results miles away from tragedy with a prick of the needle.
The Red Cross told FOX 46 Charlotte it provided 30 units of Type-O Negative blood to support Florida hospital in response to the shooting.
FOX 46 Charlotte spoke with one woman who said she went straight from work to the Red Cross to donate blood.
"The policemen and firemen who were there, they were with those who were wounded. They always jump forward. Why don't we jump forward with them in times of emergency and help, roll up a sleeve, and give the blood they need," Debra Rose said, who donated blood.
If you'd like to give blood you can visit a Red Cross Donation Center or Community Blood Center of the Carolinas:
