Chesterfield County man charged with involuntary manslaughter after assault

- A man has been charged in the death of another following an assault, according to the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Qordarius Holloman is responsible for the death of 31-year-old Sean Michael Wright. As a result, Holloman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Wright was taken to Carolina Pines Hospital in Hartsville the morning of Aug.11 after he was found by his family having seizures and struggling to breathe in his bed.

Medical staff at Carolina Pines contacted the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office at 7:30 a.m. after determining that Wright was likely the victim of an assault based upon a footprint found on his chest, as well as signs of a traumatic head injury.

Wright's injuries were deemed life threatening, and he was transported to a hospital in Florence where he was later pronounced dead.

His body was sent for an autopsy, which was completed Wednesday afternoon.
