Christ statue to be removed from SC Baptist church for being ‘too Catholic'

A South Carolina congregation is taking Jesus Christ out of church.

A hand carved seven foot statue has stood outside of Red Bank Baptist Church in Lexington for a decade.

But now, the church has voted to take it down, saying it's "too Catholic" for their place of worship.

The church's pastor wrote a letter to the artists staying he had until Thursday to remove the art-wood or it will be destroyed.
