CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and the Charlotte Fire Department Dive Team responded to an area in northeast Charlotte Thursday after reports of 'a car in a retention pond.'
Emergency crews responded to the area around 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 located near 6924 Orr Road. Medic was also called to the scene to help support Charlotte Fire with their dive team.
An employee with TBS Freight Management told FOX 46 Charlotte he saw tire tracks that led to the pond that’s behind a building, leading authorities to believe a car was in the pond.
CMPD and the CFD Dive Team worked to slowly pull the vehicle out of the water Thursday afternoon.
No word on how the vehicle got there or what it could be connected to.
