CMPD investigating fatal crash in southeast Charlotte

- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a fatal crash in southeast Charlotte.

Officers responded to the 4000 block of Hiddenbrook Drive around 10:57 a.m. Monday in regards to a single vehicle crash.

When officers arrived they found a burgundy Lincoln Navigator that had run off the road and hit a utility pole and three large trees. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic. 

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and speed is a factor, according to CMPD.
