CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say they have arrested man on murder charges in connection to a shooting Friday morning in north Charlotte.
Paul D. Herman, 54, is charged with second degree murder in the death of Jason Deshaun Lee.
A call for service came in around 6:10 a.m. in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon at the 4200 block of Statesville Road.
When officers arrived they found Lee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Lee was taken to CMC where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Information and evidence gathered during the investigation led detectives in identifying Herman as the suspect in this case.
Herman was arrested without incident. He was being held in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
