CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer felt compelled to stop and chat with a young boy he saw patrolling the neighborhood this week.
Nichole Sinno sent a message to CMPD, stating Officer Stuart was finishing a routine traffic stop when he saw her son driving in his child-size electric police car.
Sinno said Officer Stuart pulled over, got out and talked to her son as if they were old friends and told him he appreciated her son patrolling the neighborhood.
"I would like to commend Officer Stuart for his outstanding community service and for showing our youth how important they are to keeping everyone safe too! He is truly remarkable," Sinno said.
