Police: Missing Clover man found dead in apparent suicide

- UPDATE: Michael “Randy” McFalls was found dead in central Charlotte this afternoon as the result of an apparent suicide, according to CMPD. 


Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and family members are frantically searching for a missing Clover, SC man last seen on Thursday afternoon in Charlotte.

"We are driving around everywhere looking for him, friends looking for him, family, co-workers, everyone and all. We've searched everywhere, every route from here to Charlotte," Michael R. McFalls Jr. said.

The family frantically working every lead they can, even as far as Lincolnton where someone says they saw Michael at a Cook-Out out there. 

"You feel scatter brain because you are trying to think of every possible thing that could've happen to him or what you can do to help find him, where you can go next to find him and it's just frustrating. It feels like we've looked everywhere. It doesn’t make sense," McFalls Jr. said.

The last time the McFalls family heard from Michael was a phone call he made to his wife. He told her he got out of work early around 4:30 p.m. He was going to stop at the store before heading home but 6 p.m. rolled through and still no sign of him.

"I just want an answers. It be nice knowing something. I just want to know he's OK," McFalls Jr. said.

Family members say his iPhone and iWatch have both been turned off, which is highly unusual for him. His last pinged location was at his office on Stuart Andrew Blvd. OnStar has been unable to track the location of his vehicle, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado truck pearl white in color. The tag displayed is NC DZ-7187. The truck has a Clemon Tiger paw on the tailgate.

Michael Randy McFalls is described as a white male, approximately 6'0" tall, around 220 lbs. He has green eyes with brown/grey hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704.334.1600.
