CMPD searching for shooting suspects

- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police is asking for the public's help in locating two shooting suspects. 

Police say that a crash occurred in the 4200 block of Monroe Road around 2:25 a.m. Saturday that led to the shooting. 

Officers say a man was slowing down to make a left turn into a parking lot on Monroe Rd. and was struck from behind by a black in color newer model Chevrolet Camaro with black rims. The two occupants of the black Camaro got out of their vehicle and got into an argument with the man. The driver of the Camaro then shot the man in the stomach. He was taken to CMC with non-life threatening injuries. 

The suspects got back into their car and fled the scene before officers arrived. The shooting suspect is described as a young black man with dreadlocks. The dreadlocks had braids in them and they were pulled back behind his head, according to police. Photos of the suspects and the vehicle are posted above.
