Charges dropped against CMS employee accused of sexual assault

- UPDATE 6/4/2018- Charges have been dismissed against a former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools employee accused of sexually assaulting a teen.

According to the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office, Henry Dillard was charged with sending a receiving pornographic images with a 17-year-old girl. That charge has been dropped.

"Under North Carolina Law, the age of consent is 16 and the defendant is allowed to have a sexual relationship with the 17-year-old female involved in the case," court documents state. 

According to CMS's online public records, Dillard worked at five different middle and elementary schools since 2005.

A Charlotte Mecklenburg School employee has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.

Henry Dillard has been charged with first degree sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree sexual exploitation of a minor and disseminating obscenity. 

According to CMS's online public records, Dillard has worked at five different middle and elementary schools since 2005. 

He has held positions at Northwest School of hte Arts, Lincoln Heights Elementary School James Martin Middle School, Quail Hollow Middle School and Ridge Road Middle School. 

Dillard was last working at Ridge Road Middle as a behavior modification technician. He has since been suspended with pay.
