CHARLOTTE, NC - A Charlotte-Mecklenburg teen who was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a bus stop in January and set to be deported returned home Thursday.
West Mecklenburg High School student, Yefri Sorto's family posted a $30,000 bond set this past Monday by a judge at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Ga.
Unisal, a non-profit organization, says Yefri and his family are doing whatever it takes for him to return permanently with his family.

In January, Yerfi was arrested on his way to the bus stop, less than a block away from his house. Immigration officers and custom officials say students are a top priority for deportation if they were arrested at the border or are a recent arrival.
Unisal and many other organizations are standing together to help Yefri.
There are nine others from North Carolina who are detained at the detention center, according to Unisal.
