MINT HILL, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A substitute teacher at Rocky River High School in Mint Hill is accused of having inappropriate contact with multiple students, according to Mint Hill Police.
Lamont Deshon Barrett, 31, is charged with indecent liberties with a child. The investigation began when a 16-year-old student came forward saying Barrett had touched them inappropriately.
Mint Hill Police say more students have since come forward with allegations, or they were developed from the original investigation.
In addition to the inappropriate contact, police say Barrett showed the 16-year-old "inappropriate videos of a sexual nature" while on the job as a substitute at the school.
Barrett was located on Tuesday at a secondary residence he has in Lexington County South Carolina. He was brought back to Mint Hill Police Department by detectives and then taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
