CONCORD, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Three people were shot and one person is dead from a shooting at a late night party in Concord.
Concord Police say they responded to several 911 calls regarding shots fired around 1:37 a.m. to 351 Union Station Rd. This is a business space used for private gatherings, according to police.
When officers arrived they found a large crowd of people fighting in the parking lot. After breaking up the crowd they found 2 people who had been shot. Those people were treated at local hospitals and are expected to be o.k.
A third gunshot victim showed up at Atrium Health-Northeast by personal vehicle and died shortly after arrival. That victim is Willie Clarence Peck III, 31, of Salisbury, NC.
Police say the initial investigation reveals that someone from Charlotte promoted a party at the location and an argument broke out among several people and someone started shooting. This is an active investigation.
