STANLY COUNTY, - A curfew has been issued for all of Stanly County as major flooding caused by Florence plagues the area.
Residents will need to be off the streets starting at 9 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday, according to Stanly County Sheriff George T. Burris.
Florence has caused catastrophic flooding across the Carolinas. The storm's death toll has climbed into the double digits.

Federal officials and lawmakers on Sunday said that while they are well prepared for the disaster relief efforts as the damaging winds and rains from tropical depression Florence continue to batter the Eastern Seaboard, the long-term impact of the storm is still yet to be determined.
