CPCC student robbed at knifepoint, police search for suspect

- The Huntersville Police Department is searching for a man they say robbed another person at knifepoint Tuesday morning. 

The incident happened at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, February 9 at Central Piedmont Community College - Merancas campus at 11930 Verhoeff Drive. 

The victim told police a Hispanic male approached them armed with a knife, and demanded money. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30 years old, 5'11" tall, average build, with short spiked hair, and a black goatee. 

He was last seen wearing a long sleeve grey pullover sweatshirt, camouflage cargo pants, black Air Jordan tennis shoes, black soft gloves with blue stripes, and a gold cross chain necklace. 

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Officers were on scene with a K-9 unit tracking the individual.
