CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Crews responded to a two-alarm apartment fire early Monday morning in east Charlotte, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.
The fire broke out at 6:08 a.m. Monday, April 2 at an apartment complex located at 855 Southwood Oaks Lane.
About 50 firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 40 minutes. No word on what caused the structure fire.
One person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, fire officials said.
Clara Oliver's sister told FOX 46 Charlotte her sister was taken to the hospital with burns on her hand. The fire reportedly woke her, she said.
