Day of Healing held in Uptown Charlotte

It was a day that had a little bit of everything. In all, it was a Day of Healing.

A day organizers used to reflect on the fallout from the Keith Lamont Scott protest and continue to encourage and heal.

We've done so much work and we never get to sit back in hindsight and say it's some good work being done out here in Charlotte.  We need to make sure that illuminating and more people need to know that," said Greg Jackson, co-organizer.

The 4-hour event meant to challenge people to communicate and meet others they may otherwise not.

Coming out here and talking to people you may find out you're not that fall apart. You can build a relationship, after that relationship, build a foundation and move it on," said Garry McFadden, co-organizer.

With the goal of the day for all involved to showcase the best of Charlotte.

It's our job to let everyone know that charlotte has hope and we can be a better city and we will be a better city," said Jackson.
