UNION COUNTY, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - UPDATE: 12-year-old Chancellor Kelly, who went missing Tuesday afternoon, was found safe Wednesday evening and is on his way home.

The Union County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old boy.
Chancellor Ashton Kelly, 12, was last seen at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 walking away from his home on Salmon River Drive in Indian Trail, going towards the pool area.
The sheriff's office said Chancellor was last seen wearing a black shirt, khaki pants, and black Jordan's. They believe he left home voluntarily but has not returned.
The sheriff's office has searched the area extensively but have not located him.
If you see Chancellor Kelly, you're asked to call 911 immediately.
