WESTMINSTER, SC - The Oconee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a wanted mother and her six missing children, ages one to 11.
Jennafer Machelle Price, 33, was supposed to turn over custody of her children to the Department of Social Services on Wednesday, deputies said. Both Price and the children were gone when DSS went to pick the children up from the home.
Deputies said Price may be driving a 2001 Toyota Sienna Minivan with the South Carolina Tag 668KW.
Price has been charged with six counts of custodial interference. Arrest warrants indicate she fled with the children from their home on Long Creek Highway in order to avoid the custody order.
Price has a history of narcotics abuse, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office has identified the missing children and their ages:
- 11-year-old Alana Grant
- 9-year-old Tristan Price
- 6-year-old Nyomi Hardwick
- 4-year-old Alijah Hardwick
- 2-year-old Rylee Hardwick
- 1-year-old Anton Hardwick
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the search for Price and her children.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Price and her children are asked to call the Oconee County Sheriff's Office at (864) 638-4111.
