IREDELL COUNTY, NC - A registered sex offender is back in custody after authorities say he showed up on the property of two different schools in Iredell County.
Roderick Wayne Miller was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of sex offender on child premises.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Miller had been on two different school properties in the Mooresville area the day before. Deputies learned about Miller's action after being alerted by Probation that Miller's ankle monitor had been pinged.
Miller was placed on the Sex Offender Registry for a 2006 conviction of two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Child in Iredell County and was listed as an Aggravated/Recidivist for a 2010 conviction of Attempted Second Degree Rape in Mecklenburg County.
He was placed in the Iredell County Jail under a 20,000 dollar secured bond.
