CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - A family dog died in a house fire in south Charlotte late Sunday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Dept.
Firefighters responded to the 9300 block of Hanworth Trace Dr. around 10:45 AM. It took 23 firefighters ten minutes to get control of the fire. No one else was injured.
The fire originated in the kitchen and is believed to be accidental, but is under investigation, according to firefighters.
