CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 Charlotte) - The Dowd YMCA in Charlotte was placed on lockdown after a threat of violence was called in, officials say.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say that officers were called to the YMCA, located at 400 E. Morehead Street, in reference to a communicated threat.
According to a YMCA spokesperson, a call was made to the call center about a domestic dispute that might have been carried over to the YMCA Dowd location. The building was placed on lockdown just before 4 p.m. and was later lifted.
No injuries were reported.
