Extras casting call in Charlotte for new Fox TV drama

Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is seeking people of all ages and races interested in working as paid background extras for a new Fox TV drama, "Shots Fired" to be filmed in Charlotte.

The series is being shot all over the Charlotte area through the end of July.

The open calls will take place Wednesday, May 4 and Saturday, May 7.

To be considered, organizers say you’ll need to submit two current photos (one full length body shot and one close-up of your face). Photos can be taken with a cell phone.

Also, you're asked to include the following information: name, phone, age, city and state where you reside, height, weight, clothing sizes, race, any visible tattoos or piercings, and make, model and year of the vehicle you drive.

Submissions can be emailed to shotsfiredextras@gmail.com with the following information as the subject line:  age, race, gender, city and state you reside. (Example: 34, Hispanic, male, Charlotte, N.C.)

According to Fox’s website, “Shots Fired” stars Sanaa Lathan (“The Perfect Guy”) as an expert investigator digging into a series of racially charged shootings alongside a special prosecutor played by Stephan James (“Selma”) sent to town by the Department of Justice.

The pair must navigate the media attention, public debate and the social unrest that comes with such volatile cases, as they seek justice before the divided town erupts.

The series is co-written by Gina Prince-Bythewood (“The Secret Life of Bees,” “Love & Basketball”) and Reggie Rock Bythewood (“Beyond the Lights,” “Notorious”).

The show is scheduled to debut later this year.
