CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Emotions pouring out of Larry and Andrea Schulman at CMPD headquarters Wednesday morning talking about their son, Josh.
"Josh was a terrific guy. I'm not sure how this happened," said his father, Larry.
"I know somebody out there knows something and we need you to step forward so we can have closure on our son's life," he added.
"We just want justice for the murder of our son and the attempted murder of my husband," said his mother, Andrea.
25-year-old Josh Schulman was shot and killed during a breaking and entering last august at his south Charlotte home. His dad was also shot and severely beaten but survived the attack.
"It's really frustrating when you have a family who is grieving and you don't have answers for them yet," said Detective Echols with CMPD.
Police interviewed a lot of people close to Josh --- his family and who he worked with at Capital Grille.
Still no breakthrough in the case.
Despite the lack of answers -- the family is holding out hope they will get justice.
"I don't want revenge, that's not how I think about things, but I want closure and whoever did this to us could do it to someone else," said Larry Schulman.
The Schulman's announced an additional $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The reward is now up to $15,000 of Crime Stoppers money.
