COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) - A University of South Carolina student who went missing on Friday is dead according to announcements from both her father and the university's President on Saturday.
Samantha Josephson, 21, was last seen Friday night, captured on video surveillance in Columbia. The Columbia Police Department released photos of her and a black Chevy Impala Josepheson was seen getting into.

Samantha's father Seymour tweeted on Saturday that she "Is no longer with us. It is with tremendous sadness and of a broken heart that I post this! I will miss and love my baby girl for the rest of life."
University President Harris Pastides wrote in a message on Twitter, that "Times like these leave me searching for words of wisdom and comfort."
