CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - A local firefighter has been transported to the hospital after sustaining an injury while battling a house fire in south Charlotte, Medic says.
Crews were called to a home located at 9128 Covey Hollow Ct. Monday, October 31 for reports of a fire.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within 26 minutes.
According to Medic, one firefighter was transported to Novant Presbyterian for a back injury due to a fall.
The cause of the house fire has been declared accidental due to improperly discarded smoking materials. Estimated damages are at $600,000.
