CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Firefighters continue to watch for 'hot spots' following an early morning house fire in south Charlotte. Five people were able to escape the massive blaze, fire officials said.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 16 at a home located on Hardison Road.
Charlotte firefighters said heavy flames and smoke were showing as they arrived.
Five people inside the home were able to escape after waking up to the sound of glass breaking. No injuries have been reported in the fire.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation. No word on damages at this time.
