CONCORD, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Four people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after a concrete truck overturned onto a vehicle in Concord, police said.
The accident happened at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the intersection of Zion Church Road and North Carolina Highway 49.
Units arrived on scene to a concrete truck on top of a passenger vehicle.
Two heavy duty wreckers and a crane assisted the fire department with executing a rescue. The extrication took approximately one hour and 15 minutes. Two people from the passenger vehicle were transported by helicopter to the hospital and two people were transported in an ambulance.
More than 25 fire department personnel assisted with the rescue operation.
