4 Lincoln County businesses burglarized overnight

- Four eastern Lincoln County businesses were broken into and robbed overnight, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. Deputies continue to search for those responsible.

The first of the burglaries came in around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday at Pomodoro's Restaurant on Natalie Commons Dr. Upon arrival, deputies found the front door smashed in and a large rock lying on the ground near the door.

While on scene, deputies found additional break-ins at nearby businesses including Mazatlan Restaurant, The Red Barn Marketplace, and the Silver Grill on Business HWY 16 North.

"It's ridiculous people are just targeting small businesses like that," said Romero Martinez, the Assistant Manager at Mazatlan Restaurant.

In the smash-and-grab break-ins, the thieves used a large rock to break out windows in the businesses to gain access. Deputies said cash was taken from all locations and a safe was also stolen from Pomodoro's.

One suspect was last seen wearing a red hoodie with dark sweat pants with white strips on the side, white shoes, a toboggan, and a bandana covering their face. Another suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket with dark pants and shoes. This person also had on a dark colored hat with a white stripe and a pompom on top.

Martinez wants those responsible to know these crimes are unacceptable.

"Find something else to do and try to get ahead in life," said Martinez. "It's just not going to work out in the end."

Anyone with information on these break-ins is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at (704) 732-9050.
