CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (FOX 46) - The funeral for a woman killed in a triple homicide in Chesterfield County this week is set for Saturday. Her three-year-old daughter will be laid to rest along with her, according to an obituary.
The services for Hailey Brown-Linton, 29, and Sadie Grace Linton, 3, will be at 4:00 p.m. at Forest Pine Church on April 13. Following the service, the two will be laid to rest together in the church cemetery.
Chesterfield County Sheriff's deputies identified Brown-Linton as one of the victims in a triple homicide that took place around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at 3021 Society Hill Road in the Cheraw area. They did not release the name of the child that day.
The other adult victim was identified as Cordarius Foster, 27. Deputies have not arrested anyone and also said they are not looking for any suspects, and the sheriff's office said there is no threat to the public.
They did release a statement on Friday, warning the public about misinformation spreading over social media concerning the case.
"In an investigation of this magnitude, it takes time to conduct the interviews and gather evidence needed to thoroughly investigate these deaths."
The Sheriff's Office says people should not believe posts on social media speculating about the deaths. They also say some comments have come close to being threats, and that they will investigate any reports of threats or crime, and will take action against those accused of need be.
"We appreciate the public's interest and concerns. However, some people seem determined to speculate, blame and even imply threats to others on social media."
They say they will release any information they can to public as soon as possible.
